1773 Boston Tea Party

Boston Tea Party

I know what you might be thinking. It is just a tea party, and there is nothing important about it. Wrong! That is not the right answer!
On May 10 the Tea Act started to make the colonists refuse to pay taxes. Finally they couldn’t stand all the taxes. On December 16 they attacked three ships that had brought tea to Boston Harbor. They dressed as Native Americans and attacked the ships dumping out the tea into the water. 342 chests of tea were thrown into the water. Not a single person had any tea from the ships. Only the fish in the ocean had that pleasure.
