Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13, 1743 and died on July 04, 1826. Jefferson was born into a good family. Jefferson’s mother was Jane Randolph Jefferson, was from an English and Scottish royalty and his father was Peter Jefferson, a great farmer.
Jefferson went to Virginia to learn
law. The collage he attended was College of William and Mary. He won many cases
and was very good at his job. He soon married Martha Wayles Skelton, a widow
who was the richest woman. They had six children to care for.
As you all know, Jefferson wrote
the Declaration of Independence. He also was the third president of the United
States, and a government official. You may know that he had slaves, and might
not like him. The truth is that he did have slaves, but he promised that one
day they would soon be free.
